Survivors of Homicide Support Group

This free 10-week program uses structured topics and guest speakers to provide support for those facing the loss of a loved one due to homicide. This group usually meets 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at our Resource and Crisis Center, building 32 East in the Oakland County Service Center complex located at 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341.

Growth & Healing Support Group (Girls ages 13-19)

This free 10-week empowerment group is for girls who have experienced sexual abuse, date rape, or incest. This group usually meets on Thursdays. To register or learn more, call 1.248.451.2621.

Domestic Violence Support Group

This is a 10-week open support group for women ages 18 and older, with similar experiences to connect, gain support, and become empowered in a safe environment. To register or learn more, call 248.451.2623.

Michigan Legal Help (online self-help)
The Michigan Legal Help website and affiliated local self-help centers are part of the Michigan Legal Help Program. The Program works with judges, courts, lawyers, bar associations, nonprofit legal aid agencies, legal self-help centers, libraries and many others to promote coordinated and quality assistance for persons representing themselves in civil legal matters in Michigan.

Michigan Protection & Advocacy Services
Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service, Inc. (MPAS) is the independent, private, nonprofit organization designated by the governor of the State of Michigan to advocate and protect the legal rights of people with disabilities in Michigan. MPAS services include information and referral, short-term assistance, selected individual and legal representation, systemic advocacy, monitoring, and training.

Crime Victims Compensation Program
The Crime Victims Compensation Act-PA 223 of 1976 (M.C.L. 18.351) created the Crime Victims Compensation Board to provide reimbursement expenses to crime victims who suffer personal injury.

HAVEN (Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence)
HAVEN provides shelter, counseling, advocacy and educational programming for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
