Common Ground Services
Serving Michigan residents, our trained staff provides mental health services to individuals experiencing a crisis.
988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is operated by Common Ground and serves as Michigan’s 24/7 crisis support line. We are available for people in immediate distress who don’t know where to turn.
988 is also available for people who are concerned about a loved one who needs help. Callers are welcome to remain anonymous. Our crisis specialists receive rigorous training in trauma-informed care, active listening, cultural competency, and compassionate communication. They strive to create a safe and non-judgement space where you can share your stories, emotions and concerns openly. Our specialists respect your autonomy and privacy, while helping you make informed decisions and take control of your life. 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a program of the Michigan Crisis and Access Line (MiCAL). This compassionate community center serves as a safe place for long-term healing, for anyone who was impacted by the tragic event in Oxford.

The warmline connects individuals living with persistent mental health and or substance use conditions with MDHHS Certified Peer Support Specialist & recovery coaches who have experienced behavioral health issues, trauma or personal crisis and are trained to support and empower callers. It provides support to individuals who often lack social connectedness and may have increased anxiety and isolation. This service is available to residents of Michigan regardless of insurance status. Oakland Mobile Crisis Services – Serving Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics in Oakland County. Through community-based mobile crisis teams, serving children and adults of Easterseals MORC and CNS Healthcare who need immediate assistance with mental health/substance use crises. Free, confidential, and available 24/7/365. Call (800) 231-1127 to access all Common Ground services. Compassionate specialists provide crisis intervention and link callers to ongoing community-based service providers.
The Rochester Hills Resiliency Center was established to provide opportunities for those impacted by the tragic event at the Brookland Splash Pad to come together, find support, restore the community’s sense of safety and security, and help each other heal.

This peer-led, open support group is available to anyone who has experienced a suicidal loss. For ages 14 and older, however those under the age of 18 must have a parent attend with them.
