Event Proceeds to Support Programs Including Victim Services
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Victim Services programs at Common Ground.
Victim Services assists victims of all crime at no cost. People who have been victimized by homicide loss, sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, elder abuse, assault and robbery can receive services to reduce immediate trauma through advocacy, crisis counseling, legal consultation, support groups, referral services and more.
After someone has been victimized from a crime, they often face trauma physically and emotionally. Additionally, their sense of safety and privacy can be at risk. But the aftermath of crimes effects more than just the individual – it effects other family members, friends and community members. Common Ground’s Victims Services team is there to support victims, but also raise awareness and provide training to community service providers. Federal funding has been cut drastically in 2022. Funds raised from this event will ensure our team can continue to offer services to our most vulnerable people and communities.
Join Our Volunteer Crew
If you’re interested in helping our celebration go off without a hitch, please consider volunteering at the event. On top of donating your time and energy to a worthwhile cause, you’ll also meet other passionate community leaders dedicated to helping people move from crisis to hope.
