Our crisis telephone, chat, and textline (1.800.231.1127) offers compassionate, nonjudgemental, and confidential support, information, and referrals. Common Ground’s crisis line depends on the dedication of our volunteers. Our crisis line volunteers strengthen our communities and build support for those in crisis. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to build a strong and healthy community, contribute to the well being of their neighbors, coworkers, and friends, and improve the quality of life for people in crisis.
From a Crisis line volunteer:
“Ten years ago, I decided I needed to volunteer where I would have person-to-person contact and hopefully, make a difference in someone’s life. I found this at Common Ground. When a crisis call ends and I hear the relief in the caller’s voice, I feel that I have done my job and accomplished my goal of making a difference in someone’s life.”
We host an informational orientation on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6pm. Stop in at the Resource and Crisis Center (address listed below) to find out more about volunteering to Help people move from crisis to hope. Get involved now!
